low client retention? it’s probably because of this.
I hate to break it to you, but if you’re struggling to keep clients in your business, it’s probably because your communication systems suck.
Keeping the lines open within your team and with your clients ensures clarity, trust, and growth. Without it, your business can quickly turn into a dumpster fire of lost information, missed deadlines, and disappointed clients.
Here’s what I recommend to take your communication with clients to the next level so they want to stick around!!
implement systems
It’s no secret that the tools you use in your business are only helpful if you effectively implement them fully.
I use Slack for both client and team communication. It works well and has all of the features I need to manage tasks, client requests, and more.
This is how I set it up for success!
set boundaries
Set clear expectations for how Slack should be used in your business.
Define response times, appropriate channels for different types of communication, and etiquette for tagging clients and team members.
keep it organized
Create channels based on teams, projects, or specific topics.
Keep channel names clear and descriptive so everyone knows where to find relevant convos.
express your availability
Let your clients and team know when you’re unavailable.
To do this, customise your notification settings to reduce distractions and keep you focused.
Use the “Do Not Disturb” or “In a Meeting” feature to show that you’re temporarily unreachable.
Integrate apps and tools
Slack offers a wide variety of integrations to streamline workflows and efficiently access important information.
Some of our favorites are Google, Asana, and Zoom!
If you know your communication system needs some TLC, take some time out of your week to organise, declutter, and flush out your team's communication tool... or you can hire us to do it for you!
