Saying “no” to red-flag clients

So, you’re thinking about signing a less-than-ideal client.

You’re trying to hit your new income goal for the month, and a potential client with a healthy budget enters your DMs.

They’re immediately sending you subtle red flag vibes, but you choose to ignore them.

A paying client is a paying client, right?

Before you take another step forward, you need to read this.

Not all clients are built the same - even if they’re interested in your high-ticket offer.

the truth about red-flag clients

I get it.

You want to fill your roster with clients who have a healthy budget so you can scale your business, but what if that client actually does the opposite for you?

You won't be able to give your other clients 100% because you'll always be busy meeting this one problematic client's every need (and there are a lot of them).

three things to ask yourself first

Before you send your contract their way, ask yourself these three things to see if it’s really worth taking them on as a client:

  • Are you ready for late invoices?

  • Do you want to be available to work 24/7?

  • Does your schedule allow for constant “last-minute emergencies”?

  • Are you prepared for constant boundary crossing?

If you answered “no” to even one of these questions, send them on their way.

These clients constantly need attention, reassurance, and extra time out of your day for every little "emergency" they have.

And all that is going to do is eat up your time... and sanity.

So, is it worth it?

Is working with this type of client really worth the extra money?

In my opinion? Fuck no.

High-paying clients are SO important when it comes to scaling your business and profits, but not if this one is costing you in other areas.

There are thousands of other more aligned high-budget clients out there that would be a *much* better fit for your business.
