Our Signature “Get Shit Done” Schedule
Are you struggling to stay focused and get shit done during the day? As entrepreneurs, it can be tough to get into a good “work-groove,” especially if you have kids at home, are juggling school drop-offs and pick-ups, or easily get distracted by the housework that may be staring you in the face. While everyone’s schedule will be unique to them, there’s one thing we know to be absolutely essential for getting shit done - a day-block schedule! Read on to steal our signature “get shit done” schedule and start using it in your own business!
The Day Block Schedule Breakdown
This simple day block schedule breaks the day into different blocks to allow for focused work time and intentional movement and lunch/snack breaks.
Hour 1
During this first hour, spend time on admin tasks. Check in on things like emails, DMs, client and team messages, and review or list out your tasks for the day.
*Pro tip: Turn off your notifications during this block!
Hours 2 & 3
Time block two 55-minute power hours based on client/project/task. Leave 5 minutes at the end of each block for a dance party, quick movement break, or snack break.
Lunch & Movement Break
Break for a one-hour lunch and movement break! So many entrepreneurs skip this, but please… don’t! No matter how busy your day is, you need to take care of yourself and fuel your body and mind! Turn those notifications back on to help limit the need to check them, because next up, “do not disturb” mode is coming back in!
Hours 4 & 5
Turn off those notifications and time block two more 55-minute power hours based on client/project/task. Don’t forget your 5-minute break for a dance party, quick movement break, or snack!
Hour 6
This is your final block of the day to tackle admin tasks and tie up any loose ends for the day. Turn your notifications on and check back-in on emails, DMs, client and team messages, and wrap up the day! Make a list of anything important you need to tackle or remember the next day so you don’t spend time stewing over it after your work time is over.
Once you’ve completed that final block in your 6-hour work day, pour yourself a glass of wine or your favourite beverage and cheers to another productive AF day!
